    The Farm

    Snowdrops abound, and the longer days are much appreciated on the farm.  Godfrey is busy with hedge planting and protective fencing for the new hedges.  The cattle are in the barns, munching silage and bedded down on straw.  The ewes are in lamb, being fed outside in the fields, and preparations are underway for the spring vegetable sowing, and a new batch of laying hens.  The next school visits are soon after Easter, when we should have lambs, eggs and spring flowers to show the children.
